Our mission at Tutor Olive is simple: to provide high-quality services for our valued clients. Therefore, our tutors are put through a rigorous application process. To officially become a part of our team one must:

TUTOR REQUIREMENTS

There is a list of requirements you need to fulfill before you submit an application to Tutor Olive. They are as followed:

  • You must be 13 years or older

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Have above an 80 in the course you would like to teach

TUTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES

Here's a list that you must keep in mind once you've been accepted to tutor through Tutor Olive. They are as followed:

  • Maintain a positive attitude in front of your students

    • No cursing​

    • No "putting down" the student

  • Since these are online lessons, you must always keep your camera on, even though the student isn't required to.

  • Stay in constant communication with your students

    • Initiate the conversation​

APPLICATION PROCESS

FILL OUT AN APPLICATION

Click on the button below to start our application process by filling out an application. The application consists of a few questions about yourself and what you would like to teach at Tutor Olive.

INTERVIEW

A 20-30 minute interview just to get to know the applicant and their characteristics. The interview will most likely be a Group Interview. During the interview, an interview panel will be present, asking everyone questions about themselves.

SAMPLE TUTORING LESSON

Applicants will be given one week to produce a 30-minute lesson on a topic of their choosing. They will present their lesson to one person from the Tutor Olive team, acting as if the team member is an actual student.
